Achieving the Vision
 
Minneapolis Community and Technical College has a lofty vision - to be an institution that transforms its community by educating students who are globally aware, engaged citizens, skillful at their work, and lifelong learners - and sets high expectations for student and organizational achievement. The MCTC Strategic Plan is the framework for setting institutional goals in order to achieve this vision. The College measures performance towards these goals while encouraging an environment of continuous improvement. Here are a few of our goals:

MCTC also analyzes academic programs for enrollment, efficiency and student outcomes. The annual Academic Program Review includes a report on each program and breaks measures down into three major sections: Overall Enrollment and Efficiency, Overall Student Success Measures and Assessment of Student Learning. How many students enrolled in MCTC during the academic year 2008-09?

A total of 13,484 part-time and full-time students enrolled in at least one MCTC credit course during the academic year 2008-09.

Has enrollment changed in the past few years?

In the past five years, MCTC has experienced a steady increase in the number of students enrolling in courses. The college set an enrollment target of 12,900 students for the academic year 2008-09 and this target was exceeded by 584 students.
