Achieving the Vision Minneapolis Community and Technical College has a lofty vision - to be an institution that transforms its community by educating students who are globally aware, engaged citizens, skillful at their work, and lifelong learners - and sets high expectations for student and organizational achievement.
The College measures performance towards these goals while encouraging an environment of continuous improvement. MCTC Dashboards report five-year trends on college readiness, enrollment, and student success as measured by retention, transfer and completion, disparity, and related employment of graduates. Please visit our Accountability page to view further reports on College performance on institutional goals, on MnSCU goals, and as compared to national peer institutions. MCTC also analyzes academic programs for enrollment, efficiency and student outcomes. The annual Academic Program Review includes a report on each program and breaks measures down into three major sections: Overall Enrollment and Efficiency, Overall Student Success Measures and Assessment of Student Learning. Student Right-To-Know is a federal law that requires Minneapolis Community and Technical College to disclose to students graduation rates and transfer-out rates for full-time students seeking degrees. Federal regulations specify how to calculate the graduation and transfer rates. For registration or information on specific programs call MCTC at 612-659-6000. | Highlight on Achievement

MCTC offers credentials in these health science career paths:
Enrollment in MCTC Health Science Courses

According to DEED, Nursing is a high-demand, high-wage career field with significant growth projected for the seven-county metro area (as shown in the table below). Additionally, in response to new health care industry demands, MCTC recently launched two unique programs in high-wage career fields: polysomnography (study of sleep disorders) and electroneurodiagnostic technology (diagnostic neurological studies and test). The projected job outlook in the seven-county metro area for these occupations is positive.
